SARAH TAKASH
Sarah Takash is a dancer, dance educator, and visual artist, originally from Brielle, New Jersey. Sarah graduated Summa Cum Laude from the Ailey School and Fordham University with a BFA in dance and a double major in visual arts with a concentration in photography. As a student at the Ailey School, she had the honor of performing with the Ailey Company for 3 of their New York City Center seasons in “Memoria” by Alvin Ailey. Additionally, she danced the works of William Forsythe, Robert Battle, and Jessica Lang on stages including New York City Center, the David Koch Theater at Lincoln Center, and the Ailey Citigroup Theater. Upon graduation, Sarah performed in Boston on stages such as the Henry J. Lier Outdoor Stage at Jacob’s Pillow and the ICA Boston. Sarah joined Axelrod Contemporary Ballet Theater in 2023 for their holiday production of Polar Express and this February for The Jungle Book. This spring, she performed in Eamon Foley’s production of Sunday in the Park with George at the Axelrod Theater and this summer she joined the cast of Pippin at the Vanguard Theater. Prior to her education at Ailey and Fordham, Sarah completed all Royal Academy of Dance vocational exams with distinction. Sarah supplemented her training at summer programs with Nederlands Dans Theater, Art of Ballet Zurich, The Juilliard School, Arts Umbrella, and American Ballet Theater NYC.
