Roni Flores
Roni Flores, also known as RoFlOw, is a versatile dance artist from Peru with a passion for design, painting, music, and the visual arts. His connection to dance began at age 11 with breakdancing in Lima, Peru; over time, this evolved into his profession—and his lifestyle. His stage name pays homage to his first breaking crew. His skill and artistry have taken him around the world to conduct workshops, serve as a competition judge, and perform as a dancer for various artists—including LL Cool J, KRS-One, Kurtis Blow, Vico C, and J Balvin. He has also competed in and won numerous national and international tournaments, most notably:
– LG B-Boy International Championship (Colombia, 2009)
– Red Bull BC One Cypher (Peru, 2012–2013)
– Hip Hop International (Peru, 2014)
– Pura Calle (2018)
– Battle of the Year (Chile, 2019)
– Fila Respect Culture (Taiwan, 2019)
– Undisputed Masters (NYC, 2023)
– Red Bull BC One USA Regionals (2023–2024)
Seeking to expand his artistic horizons, he became a researcher and explorer of body movement. He has developed as a choreographer who bridges theater and dance, performing with companies such as Umami Playground and PassionFruit Dance Company. He teaches throughout New York City, using breaking as a foundation and fusing it with various concepts and dance styles to guide students in their training. He currently resides in New York City, where he is a member of the legendary crew “Dynamic Rockers.”
