Maggie Murphy
Maggie began her dance training in Peoria, Arizona, where she trained competitively for over 10 years. After high school, she moved to New York City to further her education and was accepted into the prestigious Steps on Broadway Conservatory Program as a scholarship recipient.
Since then, she has established herself as both a performer and teacher, working with renowned artists such as Al Blackstone, Khori Petinaud, and Nicholas Palmquist. Maggie’s recent credits include performing as a dancer and swing in multiple stage shows at Legoland NY Resort, as well as serving as assistant choreographer to Billy Griffin on a concept piece for Steps on Broadway.
In the classroom, Maggie brings a unique and thoughtful approach to teaching. As a certified personal trainer and physical therapy technician, she emphasizes proper technique and body awareness to help dancers use the right muscles, avoid injury, and develop into well-rounded movers. Her teaching style balances discipline and etiquette with mutual respect and open communication, creating an environment where students feel seen, understood, and supported. Whether working with kids or adults, Maggie fosters a space that encourages joy, creativity, and independence—both in dance and in everyday life—making her classes welcoming, challenging, and deeply rewarding for dancers of all ages and levels.
With a passion for both performing and teaching, Maggie is excited to continue sharing her knowledge, energy, and love for dance with the next generation and beyond.
